Oh the shock of it- I'm wearing pants! Fridays makes things a little more casual in my opinion, which may sound ridiculous to some of you but in my book it means not wearing a skirt. Accessories are so important to me(if you haven't already worked that out!) and I can't leave the house without having my fingers, at least one wrist, and my ears adorned with jewellery.

Have you ever wondered what butterflies eat? They actually don't eat anything. They drink nectar from flowers and that's it.
Okay so that's my sad attempt at linking this post to this month's NaBloPoMo's food theme. hehe
Anyway, if you haven't seen in already, check out this fantastic post from Danni at The Butterfly Effect: "She's just a cute Tween...but she grows into a curvy Teen!"

In conjunction with the 2008 Next Wave Festival in Melbourne, Craft Victoria was pleased to be able to co-host Carly Preston's Paper Wall, a foray into 'craft in the public space' and a discussion on the relationship between interior and traditional craft methods.
We roped Carly into posting about her process:
Paper Wall is about generations, and more closely families and the passing down of kno
Mark my words, Deep-V T-shirts are going to be the bane of men's fashion trends in Spring-Summer 2009. For that very reason I'm thankful that the Deep V-Neck trend won't be confined to the tee.Read It: Read all of this article by clicking Deep V-Neck Tops: Men's Trend 2009. Guerrilla pop provocateur M.I.A recently announced that she will soon launch an eponymous limited edition clothing line. An unlikely denizen of the fashion marketplace, Maya Arulpragasam has nonetheless emerged as a postmodern augur of both urban streetwear and high fashion trends, and has scored some high-profile fans along the way. It's no secret that Marc Jacobs adores her - so much, in fact, t

Remember last year we told you that Ashley Judd had teamed up with Goody's, a family apparel retailer throughout the Southeast, to design a clothing line? Well the collection has been such a success that the company announced that they will launch 'Ashley Judd Plus', an additional collection designed especially for plus-sized women."Our customers have warmly received the Ashley Judd co

we are family... Installation day today. Very weird to see a whole show packed into a wicker basket. It seems so unsubstantial! The ladies of HML are real wizzes at putting up a show - we go for the 'just wack 'em up there' random hang that leaves plenty of time for tea and scones - mind you today we'll be in prahran which is one of those places we get to once every three years so it'll be fun t

Had a bit of time on my hands this afternoon so I decided to give I'm With The Band a bit of a refresh, still got a couple of little things to tidy up but pretty happy with how it's looking.PS. If you're using IE 6 it wont look like this image, sorry you'll need to update to something modern.

A colonial-style fishing village on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua, San Juan Del Sur is becoming a popular tourist location but has remained largely unspoiled by the tourist dollar. The spectacular harbour still has many fishing boats dotted amongst the vessels of vacationers, and the road to get here from the Costa Rican border barely resembles a road at all. It's got that undeveloped charm that

We're not quite sure what's going on with model-turned-actress Jamie King's fringe... it's certainly not the thick, eye-sweeping fringe that's been such a huge trend this year. Nor do we think the blunt chin-length pieces are going to catch on as a hairstyle of choice. But nevertheless, the girl does have one thing on trend: the one-shouldered dress. For all the money I spend on skincare and moisturisers and the like, I must confess that when it comes to shaving I'm a bit of a cheap-arse (particularly in Winter - much to the disdain of the men in my life). So when I received a Schick Quattro for review, my expectation was for another over-priced piece of plastic and metal that wouldn't do my skin any great favours.I was pleasantly surprised.Re

Fate is the record, Dr. Dog were destined to make a timeless yet contemporary distillation of the band's open-armed, big-hearted sound. Inventive, magnificently realized, and absolutely irresistible, the Park The Van Records release sees the Philadelphia-based quintet filtering the gamut of American popular music into its own idiosyncratic brand of blue-eyed, dilated-pupil soul. As ever, Dr. Dog m

To some it might seem really obvious what to do about not having enough lighting- add some. That has taken me about 2 weeks to work out. Today it occurred to me that if I took things outdoors, and in particular being inspired by Karla's Closet, I might just be able to capture the detail I want because well, sunlight is a wonderful thing isn't it. Jokes on me kids, don't worry.

Movement through shadows
A garment to move in, layer over, laze around with. A piece I can relate to, connect with, take comfort from. Together we ve emerged through the shadows, moving ever so slowly to the other side. We re almost through. Soon. Close.
[And some proof that brightness does exist over here, and that it s not just black, white or charcoal. A few of you were quite concerned.
